DVIDS - News - NATO Training Mission Afghanistan Celebrates Naadam: "KABUL, Afghanistan - Service members from the Mongolian Expeditionary Task Force VII (METF VII) participate in this year's Naadam festival at Camp Eggers, Kabul, Afghanistan, July 11.
The Naadam festival commemorates the 2222nd anniversary of the establishment of Mongolia, the 807th anniversary of the establishment of the Mongolian Empire, and the 92nd anniversary of the People's Revolution. The celebration included traditional Mongolian music numbers, a hand-to-hand combat demonstration, and a Mongolian wrestling tournament.
