Thailand, Mongolia strengthen ties | Bangkok Post: breakingnews: "Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra is on an official visit to Mongolia, partly to celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations. Ms Yingluck led the Thai delegation to discuss bilateral cooperation with Mongolian Prime Minister Norovyn Altankhuyag.

Suranand Vejjajiva, the secretary-general to the Prime Minister's Office, said ina note on the Yingluck Shinawatra Facebook page that the consultation between the two prime ministers has opened a new chapter of bilateral relations to promote the development and exchange of knowledge. This will also open investment opportunities for the Thai private sector in mining, energy, automobiles, tourism, public health and agriculture.

In order to promote the investment, Thailand is ready to sign an agreement to promote and protect investment that will become a mechanism to boost bilateral trade and investment in order to double two-way trade from US$13.69 million in 2012 over the next three years."
