The specimen is worth around $250,000 to $400,000. While details have not been released, the Washington Post confirmed with a spokesperson for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations that the skull is connected to a dealer in Florida who is charged with fossil smuggling."
