Mongolia joins OSCE | New Europe: "The organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) announced on 21 November that Mongolia has acceded and become its 57th participating state.
The decision on the Asian country’s accession was taken by consensus. However, the newest OSCE member was previously an established Asian partner for co-operation of the organisation together with Japan, Thailand and Afghanistan.
It is expected that Mongolia will take up its new position at the OSCE Ministerial Council in Dublin on the 6 December."
