First Hamlet Performance in 33 Years begins | Ubpost News: "The National Academic Drama Theatre of Mongolia opened their new season with the famous classic tragedy “Hamlet”, by Shakespeare, last Friday, November 9. This performance was particularly special in that the Hamlet has not been performed since 1979 in Mongolia at the National Theatre.
The official opening of the play started with a Red Carpet Ceremony. The guests included senior actors and actresses who performed in Hamlet 33 years ago.
It is an honor for dramatic artists to direct and stage Shakespeare’s plays, especially Hamlet, one of the most enduring classics of the world. With the goal of choosing the best play writers and directors to work on this play, the National Academic Drama Theatre announced an open bid last August. Director N.Naranbaatar won this bid and was selectedto present ‘Hamlet.’"
