Kaci Bowman has been selected to participate in an Operation Christmas Child (OCC) distribution trip with Samaritan’s Purse teams in Mongolia.
Selected students from across the United States will form teams that will visit the surrounding villages, minister to the local people, participate in Samaritan’s Purse Projects and distribute OCC shoebox gifts to needy children within these communities. This trip is coordinated by Samaritan’s Purse, a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world.
In order to travel, Bowman needs to raise between $2,500 and $3,000 for this trip. Norwood Southern Baptist Church will be holding several fundraisers for Kaci, and community members can support her directly by contacting Norwood Southern Baptist Church. All contributions are tax deductible.
The first fundraising event is yard sale on June 16 at the church. Times will be announced later. Church members have offered to pick up donated sale items from residences or businesses."
